Preserving Ibiza and Formentera's natural value and beauty
At Ibiza Gran Hotel, we firmly believe in the need to conserve the islands’ biodiversity and natural terrestrial and marine resources, which is why we work with the IbizaPreservation.
Sponsoring the Ibiza and Formentera Marine Forum
In September 2019, we sponsored the Ibiza and Formentera Marine Forum. This forum aims to become a recurring meeting to advance discussions and draw up initiatives to solve the problems affecting our marine environment.
Namely plastic pollution, marine protected areas, and the reduction of wastewater discharges to improve our marine water’s quality. The outcome of this forum resulted in the agreement of 10 + 1 recommendations, which will be subject to a follow-up process, the results of which will be presented in a future edition.
Ibiza Produce
To guarantee the sustainability of the natural resources and the agricultural landscape
The survival of the ‘Pagés’ industry… Ibiza’s farmers and local produce. There are several projects underway at Ibiza Produce related to the territory to support the production and the product that is provided by this land and the farmers’ work.
At Ibiza Gran Hotel we have raised funds thanks to our restaurant La Gaia by Óscar Molina.
Hotels Friends of Unicef Programme
Alleviating the effects
of climate change on children
Ibiza Gran Hotel is part of the Hotels Friends programme, an initiative created by Unicef to help fight the consequences of climate change for children.
Together with UNICEF, we will run awareness campaigns on the impact of climate change on water and raise funds for water supply programmes. Our Ibiza Gran Hotel guests can donate just 3 euros at check-out, providing clean water for two children for a month.
